PAT’S RV – TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
By authorizing, approving, requesting, scheduling, or accepting any estimate, repair, inspection, diagnostic work, parts order, service appointment, invoice, or work performed by Pat’s RV (“Service Provider”), whether verbally, electronically, by text message, email, signature, payment, or delivery of a vehicle for service, the customer (“Customer”) agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. SERVICES PROVIDED
Pat’s RV provides RV repair, diagnostic, inspection, appliance repair, mechanical repair, maintenance, and emergency repair services (“Services”). Services generally do not include heavy engine repair, structural reconstruction, collision reconstruction, remodeling, or other specialty services unless specifically agreed to in writing.
Service Provider agrees to perform Services in a professional and workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards and applicable laws.
2. AUTHORIZATION TO PERFORM WORK
Customer certifies that they are the legal owner of the vehicle, authorized user, lienholder representative, insurer representative, or otherwise possess legal authority to authorize repairs and services.
Customer authorizes Pat’s RV to:
Diagnose issues
Perform approved repairs
Operate and road test the vehicle when necessary
Order parts and materials
Communicate with manufacturers, vendors, or insurers when applicable
Approval of an estimate, invoice, repair recommendation, diagnostic charge, or parts order by text message, email, phone call, electronic communication, signature, online approval, payment, or delivery of the vehicle for service shall constitute full authorization to proceed.
3. ESTIMATES AND ADDITIONAL REPAIRS
All estimates are based on visible conditions and known failures at the time of inspection. Additional damage, hidden failures, or unrelated issues may be discovered during the repair process.
If additional repairs are required, Pat’s RV may pause work until further authorization is obtained. Additional authorization may be approved verbally, electronically, by text message, email, or signature.
Customer understands that disassembly and diagnostics may reveal unrelated or secondary failures not visible during the initial inspection.
Any estimates, invoices, or recommendations provided by Pat’s RV are non-negotiable after repairs have been completed.
4. PAYMENT TERMS
Customer agrees to pay all charges incurred, including but not limited to:
Labor
Diagnostic time
Shop supplies
Mobile service charges
Mileage/travel charges
Storage fees
Disposal fees
Parts
Sublet/vendor services
Taxes
Emergency service fees
Unless otherwise stated in writing, labor is billed at Pat’s RV’s current posted labor rate.
Payment in full is due immediately upon completion of Services and prior to vehicle release.
Pat’s RV reserves the right to retain possession of the vehicle until all balances are paid in full, subject to applicable Michigan law.
5. STORAGE FEES
Customer agrees to retrieve the vehicle within 24 hours of notification that repairs or services are complete, including weekends and holidays unless prior arrangements are approved in writing.
Vehicles left beyond 24 hours may incur storage fees of $25.00 per day or the current posted storage rate.
Pat’s RV reserves the right to pursue abandoned vehicle procedures as permitted by Michigan law.
6. DIAGNOSTIC AND REPAIR LIMITATIONS
Customer acknowledges that diagnosing RV systems can be complex and may require multiple stages of testing, disassembly, or troubleshooting.
Pat’s RV does not guarantee that every issue can be diagnosed immediately or that unrelated failures will not occur during or after repairs.
Pat’s RV shall not be responsible for:
Pre-existing damage
Concealed damage
Water intrusion damage
Structural deterioration
Mold
Corrosion
Rust
Manufacturer defects
Prior improper repairs
Damage caused by component failure
Damage caused by customer neglect or misuse
7. LABOR WARRANTY
Pat’s RV provides a limited 30-day labor warranty unless otherwise stated in writing.
This warranty applies only to labor directly performed by Pat’s RV and does not include:
Parts
Manufacturer defects
Used components
Customer-supplied parts
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, freezing, accidents, improper maintenance, or unrelated failures
Warranty claims must be evaluated by Pat’s RV before repairs are authorized elsewhere.
Winterization warranties are void if tamper-proof seals or tags are removed or altered. Pat’s RV does not warranty winterizations unless Pat’s RV performs the de-winterization/startup process. Any customer-performed or third-party de-winterization voids all winterization warranties.
8. PARTS WARRANTIES
Any warranty on new parts is limited solely to the warranty provided by the manufacturer of those parts.
Pat’s RV disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except where prohibited by law.
9. AFTERMARKET, NON-OEM, AND USED PARTS
Customer acknowledges that the use of aftermarket, non-OEM, rebuilt, reconditioned, or used parts may:
Affect manufacturer warranties
Reduce resale value
Violate lease or finance agreements
Perform differently than OEM parts
Pat’s RV reserves the right to refuse installation of any part deemed unsafe, defective, poor quality, incompatible, or unreliable.
Used or customer-supplied parts carry no labor or parts warranty unless specifically stated in writing.
10. INSURANCE CLAIMS
Pat’s RV may provide estimates or documentation for insurance claims as a courtesy to the Customer.
Customer understands:
Pat’s RV does not represent the insurance company
Pat’s RV is not obligated to negotiate with insurers
Insurance approval does not relieve Customer of responsibility for payment
Customer remains solely responsible for all charges regardless of insurance claim status or reimbursement.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Pat’s RV shall only be liable for direct damages caused solely by negligent workmanship directly related to Services performed.
Under no circumstances shall Pat’s RV be liable for:
Loss of use
Loss of income
Trip interruption
Hotel expenses
Towing
Food spoilage
Water damage
Mold
Diminished value
Incidental damages
Consequential damages
Secondary mechanical failures
Customer understands that RV systems are interconnected and that failures may occur independently of repairs performed.
12. CUSTOMER PROPERTY
Pat’s RV is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
Customer is responsible for removing valuables, firearms, cash, medications, electronics, and personal property prior to service.
13. MARKETING RELEASE
Customer grants Pat’s RV permission to photograph and video the vehicle, repairs, failures, and completed work for documentation, training, educational, and marketing purposes.
Pat’s RV agrees not to intentionally disclose sensitive personal information such as VIN numbers, license plates, addresses, or financial information.
14. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Any dispute arising from Services performed by Pat’s RV shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration within the State of Michigan and governed by Michigan law.
Judgment upon any arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.
15. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Customer and Pat’s RV and supersede all prior discussions, representations, or agreements unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
16. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By approving an estimate, requesting service, delivering a vehicle for repair, authorizing work verbally or electronically, signing a work order, paying a deposit or invoice, or otherwise accepting Services from Pat’s RV, Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full.
